Packages of pork can be ordered as either a Side of Pork or a whole animal. When taking a whole animal you can talk directly to the butcher and order your own choice of cuts, see Cuts Sheet. We can also email you a list of all the cuts available
For families ordering a Side of Pork (approx 33kg dressed weight) a pre-set menu is available. This includes:
● Roasts – 3 to 4 family size roasts ● Chops, Cutlets & BBQ Spare Ribs – 5 to 6kg
● Bacon – 5 to 6kg ● 1 Pickled pork & BBQ sausages (~8kg)
● A few bones
Value: $TBA/kg delivered* Volume: this equates to about 2 apple size boxes.
* The fee is for delivery to the Bundaberg region. We deliver anywhere from Rockhampton through to the Gold Coast, including the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. Please contact Robert or Mellisa for freight charges.
Home delivery is to families living in the metro areas. Rural families can collect from a central location.
Please note other cuts are available in a Side of Pork, if you would prefer something different. Other cuts include: Ham, Boiling Bacon, Belly rib roast and Mince.
Packaging
All Roasts and Boiling pieces come individually packed ready for your freezer. The Bacon, Chops, Spare Ribs, Cutlets and Sausages come bulk bagged. You will need to have a number of freezer bags on hand to family pack these cuts.
Pork is available all year round. We take groups of porkers to the abattoirs about every 8 weeks, throughout the year. See Availability Sheet to confirm the next available Pork packages.
For most families a Side of Pork should be plenty. For very large families or extended families, ordering a whole animal may give you some more flexibility on choice of cuts.
Fees
All fees are based on the dressed weight of the animal, which will include a few bones. All processing, delivery and levy charges, etc are included in the fees.
The above fee is for delivery to the Bundaberg town area. Delivery charges to Brisbane and other parts of the Wide Bay and Central Qld are charged at cost. Please contact to discuss.
Payment
To secure your order a deposit of $30 is required.
I will be in touch with you on a number of occasions leading up to delivery of your package. As the fees are based on the dressed weight of the animals, we won’t know your exact fee until the animals are in the butchers shop. Once this occurs we will advise you of your invoice.
To avoid any awkward situations all packages must be paid for prior to leaving the butcher shop. Payment can take place via a number of methods including:
● Cash
● Electronic Funds Transfer direct into our account (preferred method)
● or by payment direct into our account at any NAB branch.
Unless paying by cash, please use your invoice number as a reference. Alternatively email the bank transfer confirmation to us, or just email us to let us know that you have paid.
